So I know these are WAYYYY late, but I finally got this roll of film developed. I took these during a Rookie meetup in Boulder on July 4th at Gateway Park. The rookies arrived in small numbers but it was nonetheless an evening dedicated to quality as opposed to quantity. I will honestly remember it as THE highlight of this summer.

Exhausted from all those games, we sat around outside for a while, eating snacks and talking.
This was one of my favorite moments of the night, when Dillon was playing some weird game involving a monkey astronaut and just as he was about to give up some…thing happened and he won 250 tickets!!
Every time we go to an arcade Anna ends up with like 500 tickets. Side note: she also almost killed a Rookie today while racing go-karts. BEWARE OF HER.
Happy Independence Day! We were going to spend the evening in Boulder, Colorado, watching fireworks with readers, but the fireworks were canceled because of the horrible recent fires in the state. Instead we ended up at Gateway Park, where we raced go-karts and played arcade games and generally hung out and had the best time. Everyone at the meetup was so cool and each person had their own awesome thing going on: a band, a blog, a sport, a creative practice of some kind. WE LOVE THE COLORADO ROOKIES! <3 Anaheed
