In case you aren’t up on Lydia Lunch. Here she is in a 1980 video for her creepysexycool solo album, Queen of Siam. She was the frontwoman of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, a sometimes collaborator of Sonic Youth and Nick Cave and the woman who filled the Courtney Love role in punk rock before Courtney. She scared all the boys, though anyone half-cool worshipped her. There are some handy decorating ideas in this video (washboard as art, jar of embalmed snakes as bookends), which mostly seems to be Lunch emoting in a slip and leaving a sleeping bag and creepy stuff in lamplight.
